WELCOME TO PARADISE

Royal Sankofa Estate is a small family-owned retreat on the outskirts of the much sought after Sanyang region; a bustling fishing village which is also home to the world-famous Paradise Beach.

 

The estate does not claim, or wish, to be defined or compared to a hotel. Instead, we prefer to be defined as a haven of paradise where our guests not only experience the beauty of The Gambia, but also restore a personal spiritual connection with themselves and with nature. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The estate is spread across 1.2 acres and boasts 11 ensuite rooms within 6 traditional style round houses nestled among palm trees and gardens, a dining hall which can convert into a lecture hall, gift shop, swimming pool and recreational areas.

 

Being only 1,800m from the sea the estate and surrounding area receives a gentle cooling breeze during the long hot days.

 

Guests will experience beautiful sunrises and sunsets and for those who love star gazing the clear skies at night allow the constellations to be seen with the naked eye.
